Video game publisher Agatsuma Entertainment announced on Thursday that it will release Sayonara UmiharaKawase + (Sayonara Umihara Kawase Chirari in Japan) on PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe this spring.
The game is an enhanced version of the 2013 Nintendo 3DS game Sayonara Umihara Kawase, which Nintendo released digitally in North America as Yumi's Odd Odyssey in March 2014. Features include 60 new stages, bonus levels, four playable characters, a global time ranking leaderboard, different enemy positions from the 3DS game, and bonus art styles and soundtrack. The game will also include the original Umihara Kawase game first released in 1994.
In the games, the player controls the character sushi chef Umihara Kawase, using her fishing rod to navigate the games' levels. Kiyoshi Sakai developed the game, and Toshinobu Kondō designed the characters and provided illustrations. Both worked on the original 1994 Umihara Kawase game.
Agatsuma Entertainment will release the game in Japan on April 23, and in North America and Europe in spring for US$19.99.
