Usagi Mochi draws new series after Bambi Shirayuki stopped due to poor health

The May issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine is announcing on Friday that manga creator Mochi-Usagi will launch a new Aikatsu series in the next issue on May 1. The shōjo magazine teases Aikatsu Go! Go! Go! will "power up with increased happiness!"

The story of the Aikatsu! game and anime franchise begins with Ichigo, who was just a normal middle school student until she suddenly got involved in the world of idols.

Ciao had announced in February that artist Bambi Shirayuki has put her Aikatsu! and Kosu Sen!! manga on hiatus due to her poor physical condition.

Bandai announced the original idol-themed card game and its anime adaptation in 2012. Sunrise animated the first two series, and is also animating the third series, which premiered on TV Tokyo in October.
