The Asterisk War Anime's English Trailer Reveals A-1 Pictures Staff

The official website for The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water (Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) anime opened on Sunday and began streaming a trailer.


The promotional video, which first debuted at Sakura-Con on Friday, reveals the anime's story premise and staff:

In the previous century, humanity was attacked by an unprecedented disaster... The impact "Invertia." The whole world was destroyed. However, humans acquired a new potential..."The Genestella."

Aniplex producer Shinichiro Kashiwada announced that his company will produce The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water (Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) anime series. The anime is an adaptation of light novel series by Yuu Miyazaki with illustrations by okiura. Miyazaki launched the novel series in 2012, and Media Factory published the seventh volume in November.

The battle-action anime series will premiere in Japan this October.
