Kazuya Konomoto's Setoutsumi Manga Gets Film

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Slice-of-life manga centers on 2 high school boys' comedic afterschool chats

The wraparound band on the third volume of Kazuya Konomoto's Seto Utsumi manga is revealing on Wednesday that the manga will receive a film adaptation. The announcement did not specify if the film would be animated or live action.

The announcement states, "This manga that is just about two people chatting is getting a film adaptation!! However, even though they're just chatting, it's really interesting."

The announcement also asks fans to please wait for a follow-up report on the cast and other news about the film.

Konomoto launched the manga in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in 2013. The manga revolves around Kansai-area high school boys Seto and Utsumi, and their completely normal but comedic chats after school.

The manga was nominated for the 18th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize "Reader Award" last year.
