Actress, Singer Aya Ueto Announces Pregnancy

29-year old actress, model and singer Aya Ueto announced on Sunday that she is pregnant with her first child. Ueto has been the wife of 45-year old boy band EXILE leader HIRO (real name Hiroyuki Igarashi) since 2012. Ueto had previously expressed her desire to have a child before she turned 30.
Ueto is currently filming for the TV Asahi drama I'm Home, and is starring as the heroine in the series.
Ueto has performed theme songs for various anime, including Konjiki no Gash Bell!! (Zatch Bell), Nintama Rantarō, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Detective Conan: The Private Eyes' Requiem. She also voiced Atom in the 2009 Astro Boy film, Kai Ichinose in The Piano Forest, and herself in an episode of Detective Conan. As a live-action actress, she played Hiromi in the Ace wo Nerae! live-action TV series, the titular character in the Azumi film, and Nao in the 3-Nen B-Gumi Kinpachi-sensei drama. She also played the role of Kisala in Level-5's PlayStation 2 RPG Rogue Galaxy in 2005.
