Ryota Ohsaka Joins 3rd Kuroko's Basketball Season's Cast

Your Lie in April voice actor to play Chihiro Mayuzumi in Winter Cup finals arc

The official website for the Kuroko's Basketball television anime announced on Monday that Ryota Ohsaka (Your Lie in April, Attack on Titan, Knights of Sidonia) will play Chihiro Mayuzumi in the second half of the series' third season. Chihiro is the sixth man for Rakuzan High's basketball team.

The second half of the third season will cover the final arc of (highlight text to read spoilers) [Seirin High vs. Rakuzan High], which features the Winter Cup finals. GRANRODEO and OLDCODEX will return to perform the season's third opening and ending themes.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. Anime Consortium Japan is also streaming the third season on the Daisuki service as each episode airs in Japan.

The returning cast includes:

New cast members include Wataru Hatano as Reo Mibuchi, Takahiro Fujiwara as Eikichi Nebuya, Masakazu Morita as Shōgo Haizaki, Yuu Hayashi as Shigehiro Ogiwara, and Ryotaro Okiayu as Shūzō Nijimura.

Tadatoshi Fujimaki launched the main manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2008, and Shueisha published the 30th and final compiled volume last year. Fujimaki launched a sequel manga in Shueisha's Jump Next magazine on December 29. As of last April, the series had more than 27 million copies in circulation.

The first anime season based on the manga ran from April to September of 2012. The second season premiered in October 2013 and ran through March 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the first two anime seasons outside of Japan as they aired.
