New series Neko to Gohan to Sōteika premieres in 1st revamped issue of Wings shojo manga magazine

The June issue of Shinshokan's Wings shojo manga magazine published the first chapter of Kaoru Watashiya (Kodomo no Jikan)'s new serialized manga Neko to Gohan to Sōteika (The Cat, the Food, & the Book-Binder) when it shipped on Monday.

The story of the manga begins when a girl arrives at the door of top book designer Tatsumi, asking for a job as an assistant. Thanks to her cleaning of his house, Tatsumi is able to take another look at his worn-out life. The manga is a story of a book designer who lives near the Chuo line of trains with his cat.

The June issue serves as the magazine's first "revamped" issue, with a large number of new series. New series the magazine began serializing include Kiko Urino's Kanpeki na Machi (A Perfect Town) and Chinoku's Issui no Sanbaka manga.

Watashiya serialized her Kodomo no Jikan (lit. Childrens' Time, aka Nymphet) manga from 2005 to 2013. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in 2007, which also spawned three original video anime (OVA) series.
