The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura on English-subtitled Blu-ray on August 4

North American video game and anime distributor NIS America announced on Tuesday that it will release The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura (Kotoura-san) television anime series in an English-subtitled Blu-ray Disc Complete Premium Edition on August 4.

The 288-minute two-disc set will contain 12 episodes with clean opening and endings animation sequences, Japanese trailers, the "Haruka Exploring Kotoura Town" video, and the "Haruka's Room Interviews" shorts. The premium box will also include a full-color, 64-page hardcover art book with character info, interviews with cast members, episode guide, and full-color illustrations.

In the story, Haruka (voiced by Hisako Kanemoto) is a girl who can read people's minds, and she joins the ESP Club after transferring to a new school. Manabe (Jun Fukushima) is her classmate who has feelings for her. The main cast also includes Kana Hanazawa (Nisemonogatari, To Love-Ru) as Yuriko Mifune, Hiro Shimono (Ben-To, Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) as Daichi Muroto, and Yurika Kubo (Love Live! School idol project, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) as Hiyori Moritani.

Masahiko Ohta (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) directed the anime at the studio AIC Classic. Takashi Aoshima (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) was in charge of the series scripts, while Takaharu Ōkuma (Mitsudomoe, Hanaukyo Maid-tai) served as the character designer and chief animation director. Enokids created the original four-panel online romantic comedy manga.

The anime premiered in January 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside Japan as it aired.
