Kamikaze Douga Posts Teaser Video for 2nd Gasoline Mask Project "Cocolors"

The story of "Cocolors" takes place hundreds of years after an eruption of Mt. Fuji caused a massive disaster. Everyone must live deep underground, and wear large masks and protective clothing covering the entire body. In this harsh environment, two young boys named Aki and Fuyu live. The two boys join a recovery team that ventures out to the outside world.
Fuyu: Hey, hey. Aki, do you know the color of the sky?
Aki: Color of the sky? By sky, do you mean the one in the world outside?
Fuyu: Yeah. Don't you want to know more about the outside world?
Narrator: Aki and Fuyu: two boys who wear gasmasks who live in a strange underground town.
Aki: Oh, that's right. Fuyu, put out your hand. This is a secret from everyone in town, OK?
Narrator: However, the innocent season must come to an end sometime. The lamp light in their hearts begins to flicker.
Narrator: They fear, waver, hurt, and disagree. Having their bodies completely covered, they can't even see their own selves. What they saw in that dark, uncertain world was...
Aki: Don't! Stop it!
Narrator: A mysterious story of an illusionary mask. "Cocolors."
Toshihisa Yokoshima ("Amanatsu" short, movies for Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito, Final Fantasy Tactics: Shishi Sensō) is directing, scripting, storyboarding, and producing the project for Kamikaze Douga's Nishiki Studio. Yoshihiko Ishiguro is serving as animation director and CGI Director. Kaoru/Brilliance is handling the music.
Other confirmed members involved in the Gasoline Mask project include Junpei Mizusaki (openings for the Freedom anime, Higanjima drama) and Naoki Yoshibe (openings for Gatchaman Crowds, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure parts 2 & 3).
Kamikaze Douga previously created an original "image animation" work titled "Gasoline Mask" in 1999. In March, the studio posted a clear version of the teaser video originally posted last year for the first work in the series, titled "Gasoline Mask."
The video begins with a line of text: "A conductivity bacteria outbreak. Humanity is divided into three parts versus one. The low-income households are sent to the outer world." In the video, a woman named Kaya (played by Miyuki Sawashiro) is warned by a man over the phone that her protector only works for five minutes, and asks for her to change "this suffocating world."
The story of "Gasoline Mask" revolves around a world where a conductivity bacteria has spread so far that almost all the data in the world has been annihilated. The story follows people who put their lives on the line, wear masks that stink of gasoline, and try to excavate and diffuse any leftover data they can find.
