Crunchyroll to Stream Kyoto Animation's Amagi Brilliant Park

2014 anime's 1st 6 episodes available on Wednesday 11:00 p.m. EDT for premium users

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it added Kyoto Animation's Amagi Brilliant Park television anime to its catalog. The show's first six episodes will be available at 11:00 p.m. EDT in subtitled format for premium users in the United States and Canada, and will be available to free users after a week. The next six episodes of the show will be available for premium uses on May 27, and will be available to free users a week after that time.

The "slapstick drama" begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Latifah, a "real" princess and the park's manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this "disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs."

Sentai Filmworks acquired the anime last month. The company said that the anime "will soon be available through select digital outlets with a home video release to follow."

Yasuhiro Takemoto (Full Metal Panic!, Lucky Star, Hyōka) directed the anime at Kyoto Animation. The anime premiered in Japan in October.

Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) launched the original light novel series with illustrations by Yuka Nakajima (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!/Papa Kiki!) in 2013. Fantasia Bunko published the fifth compiled volume last October.
