Guilty Gear XRD -REVELATOR- Fighting Game Unveiled

Japanese game developer Arc System Works announced Guilty Gear XRD -REVELATOR-, a new installment in its Guilty Gear 2D fighting game franchise, on Wednesday. The game is a sequel to the earlier Guilty Gear XRD -SIGN- game.
Arc System Works will hold a location test for the game at the Sega Akihabara Building 1 in Tokyo, Sega Nanba Avion in Osaka, and Neo Amusement Space a-Cho in Kyoto from June 5 to 7, and another test on June 19 to 21 at an as-yet undisclosed location.
The game will include adjustments to the moves and abilities of current playable characters. Arc System Works also unveiled Johnny, a new playable character, as well as another playable character in silhouette. Johnny will be playable in the location tests in June.
Johnny first appeared as a story character in the first Guilty Gear game, and became a playable character in
Guilty Gear XRD -REVELATOR- will also contain a new mode designed for beginners called "Stylish Mode." In this mode, players can execute basic combos, special, and Overdrive moves through repeated presses of a single button.
Arc System Works released the Guilty Gear XRD -SIGN- fighting game in Japanese arcades in February 2014. It released the game for the Playstation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles in Japan on December 4, and publisher Aksys Games released the game in North America in December 16. Arc System Works will release the game in Europe on June 3.
