Sengoku Basara Series Gets 10th Anniversary PS4 Variant

Sony unveiled a "Sengoku Basara 10th Anniversary Edition" PlayStation 4 console on Thursday. The limited edition variant celebrates the franchise's 10th anniversary. The console will ship on the same day as CAPCOM's upcoming Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi action game (though the game will not be bundled with the console) on July 23, and it will retail for 41,980 yen (about US$338, plus tax).
The system comes in both jet black and glacier white colors. Both have a Sengoku Basara-themed design featuring the character Date Masamune laser-etched on the hard drive bay cover. Apart from the system itself, the bundle will include a "Sengoku Basara 10th Anniversary Edition" theme for the PlayStation 4 Dynamic Menu.
CAPCOM will release its Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on July 23. The game is an update of Sengoku Basara 4, and celebrates the franchise's 10th anniversary. The game will feature new generals, as well as crossover costumes with musician T.M. Revolution, as well as game series Tales of Zestiria and Resident Evil.
CAPCOM previously streamed a promotional video for the game last month. The company also began streaming an animated clip from the game last Friday.
