Rerulili's song of the same name inspired the film.
The original song features vocals by Vocaloid character voices Hatsune Miku and Gumi (as well as Kagamine Rin and Megurine Luka in another version). The song already inspired a light novel series from writer Erika Yoshida (Tiger & Bunny episodes) and Kadokawa's Beans Bunko, and the imprint published the fifth volume on May 1.
The light novel version centers around Hana Ichii, a girl who goes to an ordinary girls' school. She wakes up one day and finds herself in a cage, as are her classmates. She takes part in a survival game with her classmates, including one she holds dear named Hana Inazawa.
