Otakon to Host Directors Seiji Kishi, Shinji Takamatsu

Maryland anime convention Otakon announced on Tuesday that directors Seiji Kishi and Shinji Takamatsu will be guests at this year's event. Both are appearing courtesy of Pony Canyon.
Kishi's directorial credits include My Bride is a Mermaid, Angel Beats!, Humanity Has Declined, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, and the anime adaptations of Persona 4, Devil Survivor 2, and Danganronpa. He is currently directing Assassination Classroom, and will direct the upcoming anime Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace. He received the 19th Animation Kobe Individual Award in 2014.
Takamatsu has worked on multiple Gundam series, including Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. More recently has directed comedies such as Gintama, School Rumble, The Daily Lives of High School Boys, Ixion Saga DT, and Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!. He won the Prugio Citizen's Chōice Award for Gintama: The Movie at the Puchon International Fantastic Festival.
Otakon will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center from July 24-26. Other guests will include manga artist and character designer Hiroyuki Takei, director Yuichiro Hayashi, Aldnoah.Zero director Ei Aoki and producers Shizuka Kurosaki and Toshiyuki Nagano, and voice actor and singer Toshiyuki Toyonaga.
