The official website of the Hito Natsu no Aquarion (One Summer's Aquarion) stage play unveiled the play's cast members on Wednesday. The stage play will use the LiveVoice/LiveAct system. In this system, a voice actor portrays the voice of a character in dialogue (LiveVoice), while an on-stage actor portrays the character physically (LiveAct).

The stage play will open in AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo on July 24, and will run until July 26. Each day, the voice actors for main characters Raiha and Gare will change, while the on-stage actors will remain the same.

On the July 24 performance, the LiveVoice voice actors will be:

Yūsuke Kobayashi as Raiha and Hisayoshi Suganuma as Gare

On the July 25 performance, the LiveVoice voice actors will be:

Yūma Uchida as Raiha and Tetsuya Kakihara as Gare

On the July 26 performance, the LiveVoice voice actors will be:

Takashi Kondou as Raiha and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Gare

The LiveAct on-stage actors for Raiha and Gare for all three days of the performance will be:

Yūto Adachi as Raiha and Ryō Kitamura as Gare

Some of the LiveAct on-stage actors for the supporting cast have also been unveiled. Their LiveVoice voice actors have not yet been cast.

Moka Kodama as Iria

Ryota Takeuchi as Mamehira

Kōtarō Nishikawa as Kaori

The stage play's story centers around the 12,000 year conflict between the Shadow Angel Raiha and the sorcerer Gare, and the love of the human Iria.

Shōji Kawamori, who wrote the original Genesis of Aquarion anime, made the original concept and wrote the story for the stage play. Takewo Kakinoki wrote the script and is also directing the stage play. The play is the second of "The Fool" hybrid live theater entertainment projects, after Nobunaga The Fool.

Tickets will be sold from Wednesday until Monday, and will cost 7,800 yen (around US$62).

The Aquarion 10th Anniversary event at AnimeJapan 2015 unveiled the new Aquarion Logos television anime, the Sōsei no Aquarion Love original video anime, and the Hito Natsu no Aquarion stage play on March.

Aquarion Logos, the third Aquarion television season, will premiere in July. Shōji Kawamori created the original concept, while Eiichi Sato is helming the television anime project. Kenji Yasuda is helming the Sōsei no Aquarion Love OVA project. An Aquarion 10th Anniversary event will be held on June 28 at Tokyo's Shibuya Kōkaido. The cast from all three Aquarion television anime will appear, and AKINO with Bless4 will perform a special live stage concert. In addition, two free Aquarion exhibitions will run in Tokyo's Suginami Animation Museum from May 27 to June 19 and from July 18 to September 27.
