Backers to get digital access in July, physical rewards in August before October screenings in Japan

Studio Trigger began streaming the first teaser video on Thursday for Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade, the sequel to its Little Witch Academia anime.

The anime film will premiere at Anime Expo on July 3.

Studio Trigger also posted an update on Thursday to reveal that for backers who cannot attend Anime Expo, Studio Trigger will "provide the digital contents as the premiere starts so all of [its] backers will be able to enjoy the episode at the same time."

Additionally, the company noted that it is expecting to have physical copies of the rewards shipped out in August. Trigger also previewed images of backer rewards such as the T-shirt, desk mat, metal bookmark rewards for US$200 backers, and the canvas print for US$1,000 backers.

The film will get a theatrical run in Japan in October. Advanced sales for tickets to the Japanese screenings will start on June 5.

Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade was funded through a Kickstarter campaign that surpassed its main goal of US$150,000 in five hours. The campaign ended one month later in August 2013 and accumulated US$625,518 (about 74 million yen) from 7,938 pledgers to reach its stretch goals. The final product is slated to run for 40 minutes.
