Crunchyroll Adds School Battle Action Manga Unlimited Fafnir

Saburouta's manga of Tsukasa & Riko Korie's light novels that inspired anime

Media service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it is releasing Saburouta's manga adaptation of writer Tsukasa and illustrator Riko Korie's Unlimited Fafnir light novel series. All current chapters of the manga debuted on the service on Friday at 8:00 p.m. EDT worldwide, outside of Algeria, Lebanon, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland and Japan.

In the "unlimited school battle action" story, the world was transformed by the sudden appearance of monsters known collectively as dragons. Before long, girls known as "D" were born with the dragons' powers. A boy named Yuu Mononobe is the world's only male "D," although his existence is kept secret. He is forced to enroll into Midgard, a school for "D" girls.

Saburouta launched the ongoing manga in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine in 2014, and Kodansha published the second compiled book volume in January. Saburouta also drew the Chōkyō Kareshi manga and is now drawing the Citrus manga, which Seven Seas is publishing in North America.

The Unlimited Fafnir light novel series also inspired a television anime this past winter, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
