Hello! Japan Channel to Cease Operations in July

The Facebook page of Singaporean television channel Hello! Japan announced on Monday that the channel will cease operations on July 1 "until further notice." The channel will no longer be available for viewing on local pay TV networks.
J Food & Culture TV Pte. Ltd. launched Hello! Japan in Singapore in February 2013. The channel broadcasted English-subtitled Japanese entertainment content, including films, live-action dramas, variety shows, and anime. Some of the anime that aired on the channel include Tantei Kageki Milky Holmes TD, Love Live! School idol project, and Broken Blade.
Japanese media and advertising company Dentsu, as well as other media companies, including Nippon Television Network Corporation, TV Asahi Corporation, Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, TV TOKYO Holdings Corporation, Singapore Media Alliance Pte., Ltd., Imagica Robot Holdings Inc., Hokkaido Television Broadcasting and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd., are listed as the channel's investors.
