This year's July issue of Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine will announce on Friday that the final arc of Masami Kurumada and Shiori Teshirogi's Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa Gaiden manga will begin in the September issue on August 12. The final arc will be titled "Rōfutago-hen" (Old Twins Arc).
The magazine is publishing the final chapter of "Aries no Shion-hen" (Shion's Aries Arc) in the July issue, and the series will take a one-month break.
Kurumada and Teshirogi launched Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa Gaiden in May 2011 in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine. The manga moved to Bessatsu Shōnen Champion in 2012. The manga is a spinoff of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa. The original manga was set two and a half centuries before the first Saint Seiya storyline. It focuses on the friendship of Tenma and Alone — the previous incarnations of the characters Pegasus Seiya and Hades who would become mortal enemies in the original Saint Seiya.
