Fighting game set to ship in the west this fall for PS4, Xbox One, PC

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a gameplay video for the upcoming PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. CyberConnect2 president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama hosts the English-subtitled video, introducing the new battle system.

In the new game, players will not only be allowed a support character, but will be able to quickly swap between characters in their party. When players enter Awakening Mode, all characters in their party enter Awakening Mode.

Naruto Shippūden Narutimate Storm 4 will feature the largest number of fighters in the series history. That roster includes characters from the fight between Hashirama and Madara, as well as characters from The Last -Naruto the Movie-. The game will also recreate the Shinobi World War.

Playable characters for the game include Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the first user of chakra, and, for those who buy the game on its initial release, Boruto and Sarada, the stars of Boruto -Naruto the Movie-. The initial release will also include The Sixth Hokage costume for Kakashi and The Last -Naruto the Movie- costumes for Sakura and Hinata.

The rock band Kana-Boon wrote a song, "Spiral," specifically to be the opening theme of the game. The band has already contributed theme songs to the Naruto Shippuden television anime and Boruto -Naruto the Movie-.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the game in the West this fall. The Japanese release will also ship this fall, but no PC or Xbox One release has been confirmed for that region.
