The film will open in Japan on July 25.

The suspense thriller film stars Nana Seino (live-action Ouran High School Host Club, Tokyo Tribe) in her first lead role as Ai, a talented girl wounded in both body and mind. In the art school she attends, there is no escaping the adults that want to use her, or the classmates who envy her. Within her struggles, her daily life begins to break and fall apart. The film also stars Nobuaki Kaneko, Lily, and Hirotarō Honda.

Oshii previously awarded the Action Movie Competition 2012 top prize to a similarly titled short film by Kentarō Yamagishi. Yamagishi's YouTube channel is streaming a trailer for his "Tokyo Mukokuseki Shōjo" short film in 2013.
