Atlus, Vanillaware Reveal Odin Sphere HD Recreation

Atlus announced Odin Sphere Leifdrasir, an HD recreation of Vanillaware's 2007 game Odin Sphere, during a livestream event on Monday. The 2D action RPG is slated to ship for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita on January 14, 2016.
The promotional video reveals the returning cast for the five protagonists:
- Ayako Kawasumi as Gwendolyn
- Daisuke Namikawa as Cornelius
- Mamiko Noto as Mercedes
- Susumu Chiba as Oswald
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Velvet
The game will retail for 7,980 yen (about US$64). First printings will include an art book.
Atlus (Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, Etrian Odyssey franchises) and Vanillaware (Odin Sphere, Muramasa, Dragon's Crown) launched a teaser site for the project earlier this month.
Atlus USA released the original Odin Sphere game for PlayStation 2 in 2007. Atlus previously published Vanillaware's most recent game, Dragon's Crown.
