Suspect allegedly said he would hurt Satou at August concert after being ignored

Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested a man on Saturday for allegedly threatening voice actress Satomi Satou at a live concert. According to the police, the suspect is Jun Yasumoto, a 39-year-old unemployed resident of Settsu City, Osaka.

According to the investigation, the suspect posted, "I will hurt you at an August concert," to Satou on the Twitter service in June. According to the Sankei News' source in the investigation, the suspect is apparently an anime fan, particularly of Satou's work in K-ON!, but when he believed that he was being ignored, he allegedly resorted to threatening her.

With the possibility that suspect actually bought a ticket to Satou's August concert in Osaka about the same time he wrote the threat, the police corroborated their suspicions that he will carry out a concrete plan to attack her. After the threat, events that have been hosting Satou have strengthened security. Satou takes her "Satou Satomi 2nd Tour 2015 Shugachun. Michibikareshi Hoshi-tachi" tour to Osaka on August 1.
