Book by MPD-Psycho creator tells Ghost Stories about temples in Japan

The Hollywood Reporter reported on Monday that Toei Animation is producing a 15-part anime series based on a book by MPD Psycho's Eiji Ohtsuka. The book will be released as a tie-in to the western horror-thriller film Temple, which Toei Animation is financing.

Ohtsuka's book will tell ghost stories about real Japanese temples, as well as the fictional temple in the Temple film. The book will be featured in the film.

The "Vicious Brothers" Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz (Grave Encounters) will direct the film based on a screenplay by Simon Barrett (The Guest, You're Next). Filming will begin in Japan this year.
