The staff of the live-action film of Kazuya Konomoto's Setoutsumi manga announced on Tuesday that Sousuke Ikematsu (The Last Samurai, live-action Tetsujin 28-go, Tomehane! Suzuri Kōkō Shodōbu) and Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W, live-action Daily Lives of High School Boys, Princess Jellyfish, Assassination Classroom) will star in the film's lead roles. Ikematsu (pictured below, upper left) will play Utsumi, and Suda (upper right) will play Seto.

In addition, the announcement also revealed that Tatsushi Ōmori (Germanium no Yoru, The Ravine of Goodbye) will direct the film. Filming will begin this fall, and the movie will premiere in Japan in 2016.

The manga revolves around Kansai-area high school boys Seto and Utsumi, particularly their completely normal but comedic chats after school.

Konomoto launched Setoutsumi in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in 2013, and Akita Shoten published the third compiled book volume in April. The manga was nominated for the 18th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize "Reader Award" last year.
