Dragon Ball Z: Kai earned a 1.0 rating as the top cable program for adults 18-49 in the United States on Saturday, August 8. Akame ga Kill came in second, with a 0.9 rating for the 18-49 adult demographic on its debut episode.
Dragon Ball Z: Kai premiered in Adult Swim's Toonami block last November. It airs at 12:00 a.m. on Saturday night (Sunday morning).
Sentai Filmworks licensed Akame ga KILL! in North America in July, and is their first series premiering on the current Toonami block. It airs at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Michiko & Hatchin came in seventh, drawing in a 0.7 rating. The series premiered in Toonami on June 20. It airs at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Sword Art Online II and Naruto Shippūden both earned a 0.6 rating. Sword Art Online II airs at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, followed by Naruto Shippūden at 2:00 a.m.
