Atlus began streaming a new video featuring the Vocaloid virtual idol Hatsune Miku in its Persona 4: Dancing All Night game on Wednesday. The video reveals that the DLC featuring the song "Heaven feat. Hatusne Miku (ATOLS Remix)" will debut on August 27.
In addition, the DLC costume set "P Color Selection 2" is being offered for free for a limited time from Wednesday until August 18. The set features costumes in the motif of the Persona franchise's characters such as the protagonist, Teddie, Yōsuke, and more.
Atlus USA will release a launch edition and a "Disco Fever" edition of the game in North America on September 29. The standard launch edition of the game will retail for US$49.99 and include a Vita skin and 10 wallpapers. The "Disco Fever" edition will retail for US$79.99 and include two soundtrack CDs, a reversible PlayStation Vita pouch, a Teddie keychain, large collectible box, and DLCs for a bonus song, Persona 3 costumes, and summer break costumes.
The game was originally slated for last fall in Japan but was delayed until this year. The game shipped in Japan on June 25.
The story of the game begins half a year after the Inaba City serial murder case was solved and Rise Kujikawa returns to the world of entertainment. As rumors begin spreading that "at midnight, if you see a strange video playing on a certain site, you are transported to the 'other side' and will never wake up again," members of the idol group "Kanamin Kitchen," which includes Rise's underclassman Kanami Mashita (voiced by Minako Kotobuki), are disappearing.
