SHAFT's Prism Nana OVA Will Have 7 Episodes With Different Directors, Writers

Chika Anzai joins cast as new character

The staff of Studio SHAFT's Magical Suite Prism Nana OVA project announced at Comic Market (Comiket) on Friday that the project will have seven episodes, and the director and the screenwriter will change between episodes.

These episodes will utilize the "star system," where the same characters will star in each episode but the staff for each episode will have freedom in style and story.

In addition, the staff announced that Chika Anzai (Chaika the Coffin Princess' title character) will play a new character Mako Hiragi (Eleki Nana), pictured below.

Daisy × Daisy, who previously performed the song "Hoshizora Connection" for the project's seventh promotional video, will perform music for the OVA.

The staff also revealed three of the episode titles: "Yume Kanaetai...!? Kibō no Advance (First Part)" (I Want to Make Your Dream Come True...!? Advance of Hope), "Medal no Kuni no Halloween ~Noriko to Yōsei~" (Halloween in the Land of Medal ~Noriko and Fairy~), and "Hoshizora-hen" (Starry Sky Story).

SHAFT first announced the project with prototype Nendoroids at Comiket in 2012. The project has thus far been limited to a series of pachislo (pachinko parlor slot) machines and a seven-part pilot promotional video series. The project's Facebook page announced in June that the project would get an OVA series starting this year.

Kantoku (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.) is responsible for the original character designs. The story centers around three adolescent girls, seventh grader Kotone Oribe/Aqua Nana (voiced by Eri Kitamura), eighth grader Itaru Washioka/Heat Nana (Suzuko Mimori), and eighth grader Asuka Asagi/Earth Nana (Asami Imai), from a future not too distant from our own time.
