The Gundam.Info website began streaming an English promotional video on Saturday for the newest Gundam anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans). The video previews the anime's story and introduces the main characters and cast.
Sunrise's official website for the anime is streaming the Japanese version of the video, as well as the anime's first Japanese promotional video. The website also added more staff, cast, and character information on Saturday.
The anime's main cast includes:

The official website also revealed new visuals for mobile suits appearing in the show:
The rock band Man With a Mission will perform the opening theme song, and Misia will perform the ending theme song.
The show is set 300 years after a great conflict between Earth and Mars known as the "Calamity War." A woman named Cordelia sets out on a journey to Earth to speak for the independence of the Martian city of Chryse, which is under the control of the Earth government. Escorting her is the private security company CGS, which protagonists Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka are members of. When a group named Gjallarhorn attacks CGS and Cordelia, Orga sees this as a chance to rebel against CGS and launch a coup. Mikazuki and Orga are thrust into a new conflict. To fend off Gjallarhorn, Mikazuki rides an old mobile suit from the Calamity War, powered by a nuclear reactor, the Gundam Barbatos.
The Barbatos is described as a mobile suit that steals weapons, armor, and parts from enemies to become stronger.
Tatsuyuki Nagai is helming the show in Sunrise, with Mari Okada handling series composition. Yu Ito (Shut Hell, Imperial Guards) drew the original character designs, while Michinori Chiba designed the characters for animation (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE). Naohiro Washio, Kanetake Ebikawa, Ippei Gyōbu, Kenji Teraoka, and Tamotsu Shinohara are designing the mechas for the show. Kusanagi is in charge of art design, and Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music.
Nagai and Okada have worked together previously on the Toradora! and anohana (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.) TV anime series, as well as the anohana film, and the upcoming The Anthem of the Heart anime film.
The show will premiere on October 4 on 28 channels in Japan, and will also be streamed online. The official website will provide more details on the broadcast and streaming schedule of the show in the future.
