2nd Garo Anime's Teaser Video Introduces Main Characters

The official Garo Project YouTube channel began streaming a teaser video re-introducing the main characters of the upcoming new television anime Garo -Guren no Tsuki- (Garo: Crimson Moon) on Friday.
Each character's image is presented with a line of text. They are:
- Raikō: "I will definitely not forgive those who exploit the weakness of people's hearts"
- Seimei: "The spirits (mononoke) are phantoms who reveal people's hearts"
- Kintoki: "I will serve. Because I serve only one person."
- Yasusuke: "I will follow the path I believed in when I was right."
- Fujiwara Michinaga: "There will forever be glory under the reign of the emperor and light palace."
- Ashiya Dōman: "I am darkness—darkness without light."
The cast members are Romi Park, Akiko Yajima, Daisuke Namikawa, Tomokazu Seki, and Kenyuu Horiuchi. Which characters that these voice cast members are playing will be revealed at a later date. A sixth cast member is listed as "???" in the video.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on October 9 at 25:23 a.m. (effectively, October 10 at 1:23 a.m.) and run for two cours, or half a year.
Atsushi Wakabayashi (Guin Saga director, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis episode director) is helming the new anime in MAPPA, with Shou Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven Ao script, story editor) and Toshiki Inoue (Ushio & Tora series composition) as series script supervisors. Takawo Yoshioka (Your Lie in April, High School DxD BorN series composition), Seishi Minakami (A Certain Scientific Railgun S series composition), Masaki Wachi (Kingdom script), Shinichi Inotsume (Gangsta. series composition), and Shigeru Murakoshi (Knights of Sidonia screenplay, Garo script) are writing the anime's scripts.
Masakazu Katsura is designing the main characters, and Masao Ebihara is adapting his designs for animation. Daisuke Niitsuma is designing the props, and Toru Kubo is credited for "horror design." Katsuhisa Takiguchi is the art director, and Maho Takahashi is in charge of art design.
Shigeteru Asakawa is the director of photography, and Chiho Nakamura is the color key artist. Katsuki Nanba is the CG director, while Kiyoshi Hirose is editing. Monaca is composing the music, and Sōichirō Kubo is directing the sound at Tohokushinsha Film Corporation with sound effects by Naoto Yamatani. Tohokushinsha is presenting and producing the project with special thanks to Sansei R&D.
Producer Masao Maruyama announced at animation studio MAPPA's Otakon panel in July that the new series will be set in Japan's Heian period and will have a female protagonist.
The Garo Project began in 2005, with the first live-action series airing in 2006 with 25 episodes. The project has since inspired multiple television series, films, and specials. The most recent live-action entry, Garo -Gold Storm- Shō, debuted with a film in March, followed by a television series in April.
The first television anime, Garo: Honoo no Kokuin, premiered in October, and Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
In addition to the anime teaser, the Garo Project YouTube channel began streaming two commercials for the upcoming spinoff film Bikū -Yamagirinochi-. The film stars former AKB48 idol Sayaka Akimoto as the title character, who appeared in the 2014 television series Garo -Makai no Hana-. The film will open on November 14.
