Chosolate Cosmos gets 1st English release

Viz Media announced on Thursday that it will release Rizelmine, Guardian Hearts, Chocolate Cosmos, Clamp School Detectives, and Saber Marionette J manga digitally this month.

The one-volume manga Rizelmine is slated for September 8. Yukiru Sugisaki (D.N.Angel, Candidate for Goddess) drew the manga, and Tokyopop previously released the volume in English. The manga inspired an anime adaptation in 2002.

Viz Media describes the story:

15-year-old Iwaki Tomonori is in for a surprise when he returns home one day to find the government has married him to the first genetically engineered human, Rizelmine!

The first volume of Guardian Hearts is slated for September 15. Sae Amatsu drew the manga and Tokyopop released three of the eight compiled volumes in English. The manga inspired an OVA in 2003 and a sequel in 2005.

Viz Media describes the story:

Beautiful girls with superpowers...all in love with you! What more could a guy want?!

The first volume of Chocolate Cosmos will launch on September 22. Nana Haruta (Tsubasa to Hotaru) serialized the manga in Shueisha's Ribon magazine from 2007 to 2008. It has not previously been released in English.

Viz Media describes the story:

Fifteen-year old Sayuki Sakurai is a girly-girl at heart, but her sharp tongue and equally sharp gaze send most boys running! Determined to nab herself a hot summer romance during the holidays, Sayuki visits the beach and meets a cute guy who cheers her up after an awkward situation. She returns to school with confidence and as luck would have it... that cute guy is her Home Economics teacher! Dodging what love and life have in store, Sayuki is in for one roller coaster of a school year...

The first volume of Clamp School Detectives is slated for September 22. Tokyopop previously released the three-volume series in English.

CLAMP's 1991-93 series inspired an anime adaptation in 1997. Bandai Entertainment released the anime series in North America.

Viz Media describes the story:

Welcome to the CLAMP School, Japan's most prestigious place of learning--home to prodigies, wunderkinds and young geniuses of every make and model. In a world where the average student is smarter than the teachers, how then can the top students challenge their intellects? Why by creating a detective service, of course!

The first volume of Saber Marionette J will launch on September 29. Tokyopop previously released Yumisuke Kotoyoshi's five-volume manga in English.

The original radio drama also inspired several television anime series, including Saber Marionette J and Saber Marionette J to X, and OVAs, including Saber Marionette R and Saber Marionette J Again. Bandai Entertainment had licensed all four titles, but Media Blasters later picked up the license for Saber Marionette R.

Viz Media describes the story:

On a world without women, the surviving men have fashioned curvaceous androids in the female form. Called Marionettes, they are built for one purpose--to obey man's every whim...except one.
