Animax to Start Airing Haganai TV Anime on September 29

Channel also airing Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission- film on Saturday

International television channel Animax Asia revealed in its schedule that it will begin airing the I Don't Have Many Friends (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai or Haganai) TV anime series on September 29. Animax Philippines also revealed on Wednesday that the channel will air the Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission- anime film on Saturday.

Yomi Hirasaka and Buriki's original Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novels revolve around Kodaka — a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair and fierce eyes scare people — and a seemingly perpetually sullen girl named Yozora. The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for misfits with hardly any friends.

The anime premiered in Japan in 2011. The light novels also inspired the sequel anime series Haganai NEXT, which premiered in 2013.

Animax Asia will begin airing I Don't Have Many Friends with its first two episodes on September 29 at 9:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines, and will air four episodes every week (two episodes each on Monday and Tuesday) on the same time slots.

The Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission- anime film opened in Japan in December 2013. Animax Asia describes the film:

The strongest Hunters that once existed in the Hunter Association were split into two groups. With the latter group called the “Shadow”. Each group walks down their own respective paths. Not until when the Shadow faces discrimination and massacre. Because of that, the Shadow begins moving in order to exterminate all Hunters.

After a brutal attack from the Shadow, Killua got injured, and Kurapika, almost dead.

What is the real goal behind the attack? Now that the crimes of Netero & the Associations are announced, will Gon take the Shadow's path to find strength to save his friends? What will Gon do, when the many crimes of Netero and the Hunter Associations are unveiled?

Animax Asia will air the movie on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 8:30 p.m. in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Hong Kong. The channel had already aired the Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge film last Saturday.

Animax Asia also began airing the MAOYU TV anime on Tuesday.
