Love Live! The School Idol Movie to Also Screen Early on October 7 in Indonesia

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Ticket bonuses for advance screening also outlined

Anime Festival Asia announced on its Facebook page on Friday that the Love Live! The School Idol Movie film will have an advance screening in Indonesia on October 7.

Anime Festival Asia also revealed the ticket bonuses for the advance screening, which include: clear file sets, autographed posters, and special paper bags. The event also added more outlets in Indonesia for purchasing tickets.

The film will have its regular opening in Indonesia on October 21. Indonesian cinema chains Cinemaxx and CGV Blitz will open the film.

The film premiered in Japan on June 13, and earned 400 million yen (about US$3.24 million) on 121 screens in its first two days. The film eventually earned more than 2.60 billion yen (about US$21.7 million) as of September 28, 107 days after the film opened at the box office. The film surpassed the 2.08 billion yen (about US$17.7 million) box-office earnings of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion film, and the 2.28 billion (about US$18.2 million) yen gross of the Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki film.

In 2010, the anime studio Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G Magazine launched Love Live! as a self-described "ultimate user-participation project" that lets its fans vote on the future of the fictional idols. A series of music CDs and animated music videos then followed. The members of the project announced in 2012 that a full anime series had been green-lit for the following year. The second season of the anime was announced in June 2013, and it debuted in April 2014.
