Voice Actress Chiwa Saito Reveals January Birth of Daughter

Voice actress Chiwa Saito announced on her agency I'm Enterprise's information page on Thursday that she had given birth to her first child, a daughter, earlier this year in January.

She noted that she had thought to inform her fans earlier when her health had returned to normal after giving birth, but she had been so busy with taking care of her child and with work that before she knew it, months had passed. She also stated that there are portions of her life that obviously can no longer be the same as before, but said she is still taking her job seriously, and she thanked her fans for their support.

She also apologized to everyone who worried about her for being in poor health during her pregnancy, and thanked them for watching over her.

Saito announced in July 2013 that she had married a man outside of the industry.

Saito has recently played roles in anime such as Snow White with the Red Hair (Kihal Toghrul), Kuroko's Basketball (Riko Aida), Aria the Avvenire (Aika), and she will reprise her role as Hitagi Senjōgahara in the Monogatari series in the upcoming Owarimonogatari anime. She also played roles in such anime as Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Homura Akemi), Kamichu! (Tama), and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS (Subaru). She has also performed theme songs for anime such as Bakemonogatari and Rosario + Vampire Capu2.
