Kare Baka Gag Manga's 1st 2 Anime Episodes Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo

The online manga website Young Animal Densi began streaming the first two episodes from the anime of Masahiro Totsuka and Saki Azumi's Kare Baka: Wagahai no Kare wa Baka de R manga on Friday.

The love comedy gag manga centers around a girl named Akomi and her boyfriend Ponta Ninomiya. Ninomiya is a massive idiot who has no redeeming qualities aside from being really handsome. The manga follows the couple's everyday lives.

The "silliest anime in the entire universe" casts Juri Kimura as Akomi Natsuki, Daisuke Namikawa as Ponta Ninomiya, Katsuyuki Konishi as Piisuke Kurosaki, Daiki Yamashita as Monyoyoshi, and Satoshi Hino as Peruhiko Saijō. Akiko Seki is directing the anime at the studio Sakura Create. Erina Kojima designed the characters, and Yayoi Tateishi directed the sound.

The latest episode of the anime will stream every first and third Friday of the month.

Azumi and Totsuka previously serialized the manga under the title Wagahai no Kare wa Baka de Aru (My Boyfriend is an Idiot) in Hakusensha's irregularly published Young Animal Island magazine starting in October 2013. Hakusensha simultaneously published the manga in the web magazine Young Animal Densi. Hakusensha released the second compiled volume in July 2014.

Totsuka wrote the original Bamboo Blade manga with Aguri Igarashi, and both Totsuka and Azumi worked together on the 12-volume Bamboo Blade B spinoff manga, although Azumi was then credited as part of the group Studio Neko. The two ended Bamboo Blade B in 2013. The original Bamboo Blade manga inspired a television anime series in 2007-2008.
