Celestial Method Manga Suspended Due to Author's Health

Hiatus began in February; manga did not return in March as planned

The editorial department of Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine announced in the December issue on Tuesday that it has suspended publication of the Celestial Method (Sora no Method) manga because author Yuka Namisaki has had difficulty continuing to write.

The editorial department announced a hiatus for the manga due to a decline in Namisaki's health in the April issue in February. The manga was scheduled to return in the May issue in March, but it did not appear in that issue or any issue since.

The December issue did not announce a return date. The series was removed from Dengeki Daioh's list of currently-running manga this week.

Namisaki began the manga in the magazine last August. Kadokawa shipped the first compiled volume in Japan last October.

Masayuki Sakoi directed the television series that premiered in October at the new Studio 3Hz off of an original concept and script by Naoki Hisaya (Kanon). The illustrator circle QP:flapper (MM!) designed the characters. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the anime for North America.
