posted on by Karen Ressler
Megumi Han, Mitsuaki Kanuka to reprise roles as Five, Mukasa

NEGA Design Works opened a website for a stage play adaptation of Terror in Resonance (Zankyō no Terror) on Friday. The play will run in Tokyo from March 2-6.

Shutaro Oku (Persona 3, Ghost in the Shell Arise stage plays) is directing the play off a script by Jun Kumagai (Hamatora, Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth).

The cast includes:

Top row:

  • Ryunosuke Matsumura as Nine
  • Mashū Ishiwatari as Twelve
  • Eiji Takigawa as Shibazaki

Middle row:

  • Megumi Han as Five
  • Misaka Momose as Lisa Mishima
  • Katsuhiko Ibuka as Hamura

Bottom row:

  • Naoya Gōmoto as Kurahashi
  • Mitsuaki Kanuka as Mukasa
  • Chad Mullane as Clarence

Megumi Han and Mitsuaki Kanuka are reprising their roles from the anime.

Funimation streamed the original anime series as it aired in Japan beginning last summer, and describes the story:

Legendary director Shinichiro Watanabe and famed composer Yoko Kanno are back with a suspense-filled intellectual thriller!

In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population.

While the world searches for a criminal mastermind to blame for this tragedy, two mysterious children – children who shouldn't even exist – masterfully carry out their heinous plan. Cursed to walk through this world with the names Nine and Twelve, the two combine to form “Sphinx,” a clandestine entity determine to wake the people from their slumber – and pull the trigger on this world.
