Live-Action My Love Story!!, Go! Princess Precure Film, Gundam: The Origin II Open on Japanese Box Office Top 10

The Anthem of the Heart total earnings exceed 1 billion yen

The live-action film adaptation of Kazune Kawahara and Aruko's My Love Story!! (Ore Monogatari!!) manga opened at #3 in the Japanese box office this past weekend, behind Galaxy Kaidō and Pan. The film opened on 292 screens in Japan and sold 118,921 tickets over the weekend for a box office intake of 137,954,800 yen (about US$1.1 million).

The Go! Princess Precure film, Eiga Go! Princess Precure Go! Go!! Gōka 3-bon Date!!!, opened at #4. The film sold 118,292 tickets for 213 screens for a total box office intake of 129,383,300 yen (about US$1 million).

The Toshokan Sensō: The Last Mission film — the sequel to the live-action film adaptation of Hiro Arikawa's Toshokan Sensō (Library Wars) novel series — dropped from #2 to #6 in its fourth weekend. The film is playing on 322 screens.

The live-action film of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Bakuman. manga fell from #4 to #7 in its fifth weekend. As of last weekend, the film had sold more than 1 million tickets. The film opened on 325 screens, but is now playing on 324 screens.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin episode two, "Artesia's Sorrow," opened on 15 screens in Japan on October 31 and ranked #10 in the Japanese box office. The film sold 42,119 tickets for a box office intake of 55,030,600 yen (about US$456,000).

The Anthem of the Heart anime film dropped off the top ten list this week. As of November 1 it has sold a total of 744,901 tickets to earn 1,025,293,050 yen (about US$8.5 million) since it opened on September 19. The film had opened on 142 screens in Japan.

The Laws of the Universe Part 0 (UFO Gakuen no Himitsu) film also dropped off the top ten list this week.
