International television channel Animax Asia announced on Tuesday that it will begin airing the Danganronpa The Animation television anime series, as well as the second season of the Kamisama Kiss television anime series, in November.
The Danganronpa: The Animation anime series adapts Spike Chunsoft's PlayStation Portable action-adventure game. The story follows a group of high school students, each with a different exceptional talent, who are locked inside a school and told that the only way to escape is to kill another student without getting caught. After a murder, the remaining students must hold a trial with their lives on the line to find out who the killer is.
The 13-episode series premiered in Japan in July 2013.
Animax Asia will begin airing the series on November 16 at 9:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines. The channel will air two episodes of the show back-to-back every Monday and Tuesday at the same time slots.
The second season of Kamisama Kiss continues the story of the first season, adapted from Julietta Suzuki's Kamisama Hajimemashita manga. The original manga follows Nanami, a girl who finds herself homeless after her father leaves. She comes to the home of a boy who offers to let her stay over — only to discover it is a Shinto shrine. The boy happens to be a deity.
The 12-episode second season premiered in Japan on July 5.
Animax Asia will begin airing the series on November 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 8:30 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines. The channel will air two episodes of the show back-to-back every Wednesday and Thursday at the same time slots.
Animax Asia aired the first season of Kamisama Kiss in September 2013, and began rerunning the series in October.
