Director Masashi Ishihama, voice actress Yumiri Hanamori to attend screening

Anime Festival Asia announced on Friday that the convention's Singapore event will screen the international premiere of the Garakowa -Restore the World- (Glass no Hana to Kowasu Sekai) anime film during the event on November 28.

After the film screening, the convention will also host the film's director Masashi Ishihama and voice actress Yumiri Hanamori for a talk show, and Hanamori will perform the film's theme song "Sendan Life" live on stage.

The film already screened during the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 29, and will open with a wide release in Japanese theaters on January 9.

Ponycan USA previously streamed an English-subtitled trailer for the film.

The film stars Yumiri Hanamori (Etotama's Uritan, The Rolling Girls' Chiaya) as Remo, Ayane Sakura (Love Live! School idol project's Arisa, Your Lie in April's Tsubaki) as Dorothy, and Risa Taneda (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma's Erina, Is the order a rabbit?'s Rize) as Dual.

The website describes the story:

A floating space without gravity where an infinite number of lights shine in different colors: The "Box of Wisdom." Inside of this box, there are multiple worlds, multiple timelines, and there used to be many different people. This is where Dual and Dorothy were fighting with enemies called "Viruses." Worlds infected by viruses must be erased. That is the duty, the job of these girls. However, one day, Dual and Dorothy feel the presence of a new Virus. Arriving at the scene, they see a girl being attacked by Viruses. After saving the girl, the duo wait for her to awaken so they can ask who she is, where she came from, and where she is going. Finally, when the girl opened her eyes, she gave her name, Remo, and whispered only one sentence... "I must return to the flower patch..."

Masashi Ishihama (From the New World, Kamichu!) is directing the film at A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, The [email protected]), and Fumihiko Shimo (Air, Kanon, Clannad, Amagi Brilliant Park, Golden Time, Infinite Stratos) wrote the screenplay. Kantoku (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat., Magical Suite Prism Nana) created the original character designs.

Anime Festival Asia Singapore will hold its event from November 27 to 29. Anime Festival Asia began in Singapore in 2008, and has since held sister events in Indonesia and in Thailand.

The Anime Festival Asia convention held its Bangkok, Thailand event from April 30 to May 3, and held its event in Indonesia from September 25 to 27.
