Iconic debut of first Gundam mobile suit recreated by Origin animators
The Gundam.info website began streaming the Gundam Rising ~Gundam: The Origin Target U.C.0079 promotional video on Friday. The "short directional movie" first ran after the second volume of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime in theaters last month.
The video recreates the first Mobile Suit Gundam story's iconic scene of the RX-78-2 Gundam mobile suit rising for the first time. The animation team from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin created this video as test footage of The Origin's version of the RX-78-2 Gundam. It is the first anime depiction of The Origin's version.
The 1/100-scale Master Grade model kit of The Origin's version of RX-78-2 Gundam also goes on sale on Friday.
