March comes in like a lion Tops Da Vinci Magazine's Rankings for 2015

The January issue of Kadokawa Media Factory's book and manga news magazine Da Vinci unveiled its 16th annual "Book of the Year" list on Friday. The rankings are not based solely on sales. Instead, a group of 5,029 voters including professional writers, bookstore employees, and Da Vinci readers selected this year's lists.

The magazine's comic rankings of the top 50 titles are:

  1. March comes in like a lion (Volumes 1-11) - Chika Umino
  2. One Piece (Volumes 1-79) - Eiichiro Oda
  3. Attack on Titan (Volumes 1-17) - Hajime Isayama
  4. Detective Conan (Volumes 1-87) - Gosho Aoyama
  5. Silver Spoon (Volumes 1-13) - Hiromu Arakawa

March comes in like a lion placed at 15th last year. Attack on Titan, One Piece and Silver Spoon, were also in last year's top five, alongside Haikyuu!! and Hozuki no Reitetsu.

2012's list separated manga between male and female-oriented series. Silver Spoon, One Piece, and March comes in like a lion ranked on the male list with Space Brothers and Detective Conan. Chihayafuru was #1 on the female list with Kimi ni Todoke, Natsume's Book of Friends, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers and Ore Monogatari!!.
