The first 2016 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine (cover pictured at right) announced on Monday that the band Thinking Dogs will perform a new ending theme titled "Sonna Kimi, Konna Boku" for the Naruto Shippūden television anime series. The new ending theme song will premiere in January.

Thinking Dogs is a four-person rock group formed in June 2014. The group is comprised of TSUBASA on vocals, Wachu~ on bass, Jun on guitar, and Daiki on drums. The band has released two singles to date, "Sekai wa Owaranai" and "3 times."

Thinking Dogs previously performed theme songs for the Japanese television drama Yamegoku: Yakuza Yamete Itadakimasu and Hideo Nakata's horror movie Ghost Theater.

Kanikapila is performing the current ending theme song for Naruto Shippūden, "Trouble Maker," which premiered in October.
