The official website for the Ketsuekigata-kun! television anime series announced on Wednesday that the anime is getting a fourth season that will premiere on Tokyo MX and Sun TV on January 11. The new season will also stream on Niconico.
The returning cast includes:
- Jun Fukuyama as A-Type-kun
- Yūichi Nakamura as B-Type-kun
- Akira Ishida as O-Type-kun
- Tetsuya Kakihara A.S.A.B-Type-kun
- Aoi Yūki as A-Type-chan
- Yui Horie as B-Type-chan
- Yū Kobayashi as O-Type-chan
- Mai Nakahara A.S.A.B-Type-chan
The voice actors happen to share the same blood types as their respective characters.
Kyōko Narumi is narrating the project, and she is also performing the theme song "Sayonara Full Moon." The song's CD single will go on sale on February 24.
In Asia, some people believe that blood types are linked to personalities; to them, people with Type A blood are reliable, Type B blood signifies passionate people, Type O blood indicates those with an independent streak, and Type AB people are capricious.
A creator who goes by the pen name "Real Crazy Man" has been drawing the original essay comic that takes these blood-type personalities and turn them into characters.
Yoshihisa Oyama (director of photography on Aku no Hana, Say, "I Love You".) is returning to helm Ketsuekigata-kun! 4 at the studios Assez Finaud Fabric, feel., and ZEXCS. Kenichi Yamashita (Ishida and Asakura, Yumeiro Pâtissière) is also returning to be in charge of the scripts. Yoshihiro Hiramine is designing the characters, and Yasunari Nitta is serving as technical director.
Earth Star Entertainment published the manga volumes by "Real Crazy Man" and is producing the anime.
The first TV anime aired from April to June of 2013. The second season premiered in January, and the ongoing third season premiered in October.
