The official website of the Ultra Super Anime Time programming block revealed on Thursday that it will air the Tabi Machi Late Show anime on the block, along with Kono Danshi, Mahō ga Oshigoto Desu., and another as-yet unannounced anime. CoMix Wave Films is producing all three series under the overall title CoMix Wave Films Omnibus.
Tabi Machi Late Show will have a theme of "goodbyes and journeys," and will air four episodes, titled "Recipe," "Transistor Smartphone," "Natsu Matsuri" (Summer Festival), and "Clover." The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 8, and on BS 11 on January 10.
The Kono Danshi, Mahō ga Oshigoto Desu. anime will premiere on February 5 after Tabi Machi Late Show has concluded.
The four-episode Kono Danshi, Mahō ga Oshigoto Desu. anime will be the fifth work in Yamamoto's Kono Danshi/This Boy project. Yamamoto is herself directing the series.
The "pathetic and beautiful" story revolves around Chiharu, who is a wizard in charge of the magic department's counter-measure division. His days are hectic, but he meets a candid young man named Toyohi at his favorite bar, and the two hit it off. On their way home, Toyohi suddenly confesses to Chiharu. Chiharu is at first bewildered at his unexpected confession, but he starts to fall into Toyohi's pace, and the two begin to spend more time together. However, after a mistake at work, Chiharu decides to devote himself to his work and pushes Toyohi away.
