40th Super Sentai Series Ad Introduces Animal Theme

Series to premiere February 14
TV Asahi posted a promotional video for the 40th Super Sentai series, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger (Animal Sentai Zyuohger). The video confirms that the series will begin on February 14, 2016.
The protagonists of the story are one human zoologist, Yamato Kazakiri, and four "Zyouhmans," animal-faced beings from the alternate world "Zyouhland." The cast includes:
- Masaki Nakao as Yamato Kazakiri/Zyuohger Eagle
- Miki Yanagi as Sera/Zyuohger Shark
- Shōhei Nanba as Leo/Zyuohger Lion
- Tsurugi Watanabe as Tusk/Zyuohger Elephant
- Haruka Tateishi as Amu/Zyuohger Tiger
Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, the 39th installment in Toei and TV Asahi's long-running Super Sentai special effects series, premiered this past February. A film featuring the 38th and 39th installments, Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs. Ressha Sentai ToQGer: The Movie, will open on January 28.
