posted on by Egan Loo
F.I.X. RECORDS annnounced on Monday that singer Rena Uehara will go on hiatus from work. The company explained that after Uehara complained about the condition of her voice, a medical specialist diagnosed the issue as psychogenic disphonia, or a psychological disorder of the voice. Uehara and F.I.X. RECORDS discussed the matter and decided that she should go on hiatus to treat the issue.
The timeframe of Uehara's return to work has not been determined, but her official website, blog, Twitter account, and other venues will post any new information.
Uehara made her professional singing debut in March 2008 with the opening theme song "Niji no Kakehashi" for the ToHeart2ad original video anime project. She performed songs for many games and anime, including other projects in the ToHeart2 franchise, Tears to Tiara, Utawarerumono, and White Album 2.
