posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Sequel to 2013 PS Vita game will feature new story, characters

Compile Heart announced on Friday that it is developing the Genkai Tokki: Monster Monpiece Naked "moe card battle" game for iOS and Android devices. The game is a sequel to its Monster Monpiece PlayStation Vita game. The company plans to release the game this winter. Compile Heart is also streaming a promotional video for the game, which introduces the characters Chloe and Jill.

The game's official website describes the game's story:

God's hammer struck twice, punishing the world of Yafaniel below...

In the world of Yafaniel, humans and an unusual species called "monster girls" coexist. Chloe, an Academy student from Kunaguva is training hard to become a "master" of monster girls. However, one day, she hears of small conflicts arising between humans and monster girls that are happening all over the world. To save the monster girls, Chloe decides to go on a journey to experience more things and expand her knowledge, and to face her own emotions.

The game is free-to-play, but will allow players to purchase in-game items. The game will feature new monsters and features, such as synthesizing cards and increasing cards' levels to strengthen their abilities.

The official website previews the game's cast.

Mikako Komatsu as Chloe

Yumi Uchiyama as Jill

Asami Shimoda as May

Manami Numakura as Fia

Hitomi Nabatame as Elza

Saki Fujita as Karen

May, Fia, Elza, and Karen are all returning characters from the original Monster Monpiece game, with their voice actresses reprising their roles. May was the protagonist of the previous game.

Compile Heart released the original Monster Monpiece game in Japan in 2013, and Idea Factory International released a censored version of the game in the United States and Europe in 2014. The company will release the game on Steam this spring, and the release will include all of the original artwork featured in the Japanese release of the game.
