Japanese Rukia Actress to Guest at SunnyCon in Newcastle

The SunnyCon convention has announced that the Japanese voice-actress Fumiko Orikasa, who plays Rukia in Bleach, will be a guest at the 2016 event, which will be held on June 17, 18 and 19 at the St. James Park soccer stadium in Newcastle (directions). This will be Orikasa's first guest appearance at a UK event. The guests at the event also include Johnny Yong Bosch, whose many dub roles include Ichigo in Bleach, and dub actress Marianne Miller, who is Kyosuke in Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

As well as Rukia in the Bleach franchise, Fumiko Orikasa's roles include Chise in SaiKano (She, The Ultimate Weapon), Miss Valentine in One Piece, Shizuka in Vampire Knight, Shirley in Code Geass, Riza Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Marion in Kaleido Star, Rumiko in Higurashi: When They Cry, and the teenage version of Chiyoko in Satoshi Kon's film Millennium Actress.

Another confirmed guest at SunnyCon is the English dub actor Johnny Yong Bosch. As well as voicing Ichigo in Bleach, his roles include Lelouch in Code Geass, Itsuki in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Nagate in Knights of Sidonia, Kaneda in the Animaze dub version of Akira, Artemis in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon, Renton in Eureka 7, Claus in Last Exile, Yukio in Blue Exorcist, Izaya in Durarara!! and Kiba in Wolf’s Rain.

The event will also feature English dub actress Marianne Miller, whose roles include Kyosuke in Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Recon in Sword Art Online.
