Kairi Shimotsuki Ends Brave10 S Manga in March

Original Brave10 manga inspired 2012 TV anime

Manga creator Kairi Shimotsuki (Brave10, A Century of Temptation, Madness) announced on her official Twitter account on Monday that she will end her Brave10 S manga in the next issue of the Monthly Comic Gene magazine, which Media Factory will publish on March 15.

Shimotsuki previously revealed that the manga will end this year.

Shimotsuki launched the continuation of her original Brave10 manga in the first issue of Monthly Comic Gene in 2011. Tokyopop acquired Shimotsuki's first Brave10 manga series, but did not publish the manga before closing its North American publishing division in 2011.

The manga's story reimagines the legendary adventures of the 10 brave warriors assembled by the warlord Sanada Yukimura in the year 1600, in the middle of Japan's tumultuous Sengoku (Warring States) era.

The manga inspired a television anime in 2012, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. NIS America released a Blu-ray box of Brave10 in 2013.

Shimotsuki launched the Joker Reboot manga last August. She ended her Makai Ishi Mephisto (Hell Doctor Mephisto) manga last February. She is also ending her manga adaptation of Hiroshi Mori's Subete ga F ni Naru novel this year.

North American publisher Digital Manga Publishing licensed Shimotsuki's A Century of Temptation manga and published it in 2013. Tokyopop published Shimotsuki's Madness manga in 2009, and Udon Entertainment published her Devil Kings Basara manga in 2008.
